Hot Yoga: Game Changer

Anna & Nicole

If I could recommend one thing to change your life, it would be hot yoga. The way I see it, there’s no other place you can get this much done in an hour—full-body workout, deep internal calm, and mental clarity all at once.

You sweat (a lot), you move your body, and you walk out feeling like your brain just got cleaned out in the best way. In my mind, there is no better way to spend an hour of your time.

And when I say “hot yoga,” I use that term loosely. The world of heated workouts has really expanded. If you’re not into traditional yoga, there are still so many options now—from sculpt and Pilates classes to low-impact strength training, you can do it all in a heated room. Basically, working out in heat is my personal life hack.

Benefits of Moving Your Body in the Heat:

  • Detoxification: Heat promotes sweating, a natural way for your body to flush out toxins, enhancing the cleansing process. Sweating is my key to staying slim.

  • Improved Circulation: The warmth and movement boost blood flow, helping to distribute nutrients more efficiently and support the body’s natural detox systems.

  • Enhanced Digestion: Certain poses in hot yoga specifically can stimulate the digestive organs, aiding in the elimination of waste.

  • Stress Reduction: By combining mindfulness with physical activity, hot yoga reduces stress, which can aid digestion and the body’s ability to detoxify naturally.

Here are a few of my go-to heated studios:

  • Hot 8 Yoga– My day-one favorite. I’ve been going for 12 years. Their power classes are incredible, and the sculpt classes are great if you want to add strength training to your flow. I did their Barre teacher training. It’s a solid studio.

  • CorePower Yoga– Another great option with locations all over the country. Not quite as hot as Hot 8, but still an amazing workout and super accessible.

  • Burn– One of my current obsessions. It’s not yoga, but it’s a heated room with small movements, light weights, and serious sweat. Highly recommend it. They’re opening in NY and Miami this year.

  • Heated room– This is such a beautiful space in West Hollywood and a new one in Santa . They offer a few different classes, and if you see Omar on the schedule, you must go.

Heated workouts are becoming more and more popular, and with good reason. If none of these are near you, do a quick search in your area—I’d be willing to bet there’s a heated studio popping up near you soon.
